The Ponte-Ecomuseum launches a photo and video contest on Instagram for young people between 15 and 30 years old.
The Ponte-Ecomuseum is organising a photo and video competition on Instagram to bring the activities carried out by the museum to a young audience and to highlight the collective memories of the rural women of Santo Adriano through art. Participants in the competition will have to publish an image or video on Instagram with the theme of women, memory and territory and which represents the landscape, traditions or the countryside of Asturias. Participation is open to individuals and groups of up to two people and the deadline for entries is 13 July.
Two prizes will be awarded. The jury’s prize, which will consist of a day’s canyoning for four people in collaboration with Deporventura; and the public’s prize, two invitations to ‘Una Señora Fiesta’ on 22 July in La Benéfica (Piloña). The jury, made up of members of La Ponte-Ecomuséu, will value the creativity and originality of the proposals. The popular prize will go to the photograph or video with the most votes on Instagram.
To participate it will be necessary to follow La Ponte-Ecomuséu on Instagram @ecomuseulaponte, share a photograph or video, tag the ecomuseum and include the hashtags #Abordandoelterritorio #LandsOfButterflies. Afterwards, it will be necessary to register in the following form: in Spanish or Asturian and accept the contest rules. Finally, all participants will have to send the image or video by direct message on Instagram or by email to info@laponte.org.
The awards ceremony will take place on 15 July at the celebration of the ecomuseum’s tenth anniversary. This initiative is part of the activities that La Ponte-Ecomuséu is organising as part of the European project Lands of Butterflies, co-financed by the Creative Europe programme and the Santo Adriano town council, which aims to recover and enhance the collective memories of rural women in Europe through art.
