Samtökin Landsbyggðin lifi (LBL) taka á móti þremur listamönnum frá franska listafélaginu „Groupe ToNNe” á Kópaskeri.
Í ágústmánuði stóðu samtökin Landsbyggðin lifi (LBL) fyrir því að þrír listamenn frá franska listafélaginu „Groupe ToNNe” eru í skapandi dvöl á Kópaskeri. Þetta er hluti af evrópska verkefninu „Lönd fiðrilda – Lands of Butterflies”. Í þrjár vikur vinna listamennirnir ásamt heimafólki að túlkun á sameiginlegum minningum kvenna á Kópaskeri, Raufarhöfn og nágrenni sem fangaðar voru í vinnustofum og viðtölum sem unnið var með konum í þorpinu veturinn og vorið 2023. Með tónlist, myndskreytingum og gerð myndbanda mun hópurinn vinna að því að fanga þá reynslu og þekkingu sem safnast hefur saman á meðan á dvölinni stendur í röð listrænna atriða sem þeir sýna samfélaginu.
Til að fylgja þessu samfélagslega og skapandi ferli eftir er Landsbyggðin lifi (LBL) einnig að skipuleggja fjölbreytta starfsemi sem miðar að því að gera grein fyrir óáþreifanlegum menningararfi og skapa tækifæri fyrir listamenn og nærsamfélagið til að hittast og skiptast á skoðunum um þau fjölbreyttu sjónarhorn sem skapast hafa í verkefninu um hlutverk kvenna í dreifbýli. Sumar tillögurnar sem unnið verður með út mánuðinn eru fundir með listamönnum og fólki úr byggðarlaginu.
Með þeim í för eru tveir meðlimir La Ponte-Ecomuséu (Villanueva de Santo og Adriano í Asturias á Spáni) sem hafa ferðast til eyjarinnar til að fylgjast með ferlinu, skiptast á upplýsingum og bera saman viðhorf kvenna til lifnaðarhátta og menningarlandslags beggja dreibýlisbyggðanna.
Verkefnið „Lönd fiðrilda“/„Lands of Butterflies“ er evrópskt samstarfsverkefni sem er styrkt af Creative Europe áætluninni og þróað af La Ponte-Ecomuséu, íslensku samtökunum Landsbyggðin Lifi, og franska listarfélaginu Groupe ToNNe. Það hefur það að markmiði að endurheimta og efla með listsköpun sameiginlegar minningar dreifbýliskvenna í Evrópu.
First project meeting for the “Lands of Butterflies” project
On September 23th and 24th, LA PONTE ECOMUSEUM received in Villanueva de Santo Adriano its project partners from Iceland (LANDSBYGGDIN LIFI, FEL I LANDVOR) and France (GROUPE TONNE). Together they launched the project “Lands of Butterflies” they developed together within the framework of Creative Europe programme. During the 24-month duration of the project, the partners will collaborate to investigate and value through Art the contributions of women to the construction of cultural landscapes in rural areas.
In the first year of the project, the Ecomuseum and its Icelandic partner will develop a series of workshops with the local population for the recovery of this intangible heritage and the creation of participatory and reflective environments on the construction of new paradigms in the territories.
During the second year, a series of artistic residences will be carried out under the coordination of Groupe Tonne in order to make visible locally and at a European level the role of rural women in the past, making us reflect on the present and the future of our peripheral territories.
The “Lands of Butterflies” project has been assigned a global budget of €129,000 and is part of the 79 European projects financed within the framework of the 2021 call for “small-scale” cooperation projects of the Creative Europe program of the European Commission.
First project meeting for the “Lands of Butterflies” project
The first participatory workshops of the “lands of Butterflies” project have been launched in Asturias and in the North of Iceland. Since October 2022 La Ponte Ecomuseum and Landsbyggdin Lifi, Fel I Landvor are engaging women from Santo Adriano (Spain) and Kopasker (Iceland) to participate in local encounters where they can share their memories of their respective villages.
Based on the common guidelines defined during the coordination meeting in Villanueva de Santo Adriano (september 2022) both organizations are creating safe spaces to engage women of all ages. Those encounters are the starting points to generate favorable conditions for the transmission of women’s memories and intangible heritage between generations.
These workshops will keep running monthly until the end of spring. Then the project partners will host the French artists groupe ToNNe for artistic residencies where they will accompany the local populations in interpreting and disseminating these memories through creativity.
Collected memories in both villages will also be published in a monograph available by the beginning of 2024.
